The 11-12-year-old Belgian Championship will be held in Merksem, July 9 to 11. Any boy or girl participating in the VBSL championship or the Brussels Sports Association is eligible. This is for kids born between May 1, 1997 and April 30, 1999. Please note: All-Star teams may NOT be announced before June 15.
Here is a tentative schedule:
FOUR TEAMS: FLANDERS WEST, FLANDERS EAST, BRUSSELS, WALLONIA
Friday, July 9
- 3PM Wallonia vs. Flanders East
- 6PM Opening ceremony. US ambassador to Belgium throws out first pitch
- 7PM Flanders West vs. Brussels
Saturday, July 10
- 9 AM Wallonia vs. Flanders West
- Noon Brussels vs. Wallonia
- 3PM Brussels vs. Flanders East
- 6PM Flanders East vs. Flanders West
Sunday, July 11
- 10AM Consolation game. 3rd place team plays 4th place team.
- 1PM Championship game: Top 2 teams play for right to represent Belgium at the European Little League Championship in Poland, July 27-August 4.
